YES ! We highly recommend adding a second shooter for wedding, it Especially Important for videography.
The first and Most important reason:
  • By capturing additional perspectives what Great enhances the final product, making your video tryly memorable.
Also, unlike any photographer, bay area wedding videographers have much more conditions that need to be monitored during the wedding day, such as: :
  • Connecting the field audio recorder to the DJ console or speaker (its about cables and time to do this)
  • Installing additional light for the dark scenes, so that the speakers are not standing shadowed.
  • Working with a gimbal stabilizer during all day (its about balance, smoothness and moving frames)
  • Install the second camera (for ceremony and speakers) on a tripod, finding a suitable and safe spot for it. (it about additional time, extra staff, and maybe a quick prayer to the tripod gods for stability!)
  • Make sure that the speaker is in the frame, and not DJ in the background chewing a nice sandwich.
